I want to tell you about our personal philosophy or our philosophy in this office. We as surgeons want the same thing that you as parents want for your child. We want the best outcome to allow the child, your child, to have the best life possible. We want to do that by starting early, minimizing the trauma to the child and the family, and get the best outcome in the fewest number of interventions. We try to do everything as an outpatient and try to do it all in one surgery, whether we make an ear, or make an ear and an ear canal. Parents often tell us after the reconstruction that their children's confidence and personality really comes out for the better. They love showing off their new ear to their friends and family. It is life changing and it's exactly why we love what we do.
