Dr. Reinisch Collaborates with Mending Kids in Life Changing Surgery for Microtia Children
Last month, Dr. Reinisch collaborated with Mending Kids and performed surgeries on two children with Microtia, 4 year old Arabella and 8 year old Rodgrigo. The Medpor method for ear reconstruction was pioneered in 1991 by Dr. Reinisch. This innovative surgery method has changed the lives of thousands of children Dr. Reinisch performed surgreies on as it is done in a single, minial pain outpatient surgery. Microtia children are borned with an external ear that is underdeveloped. KISS lead singer Paul Stanley, born with Microtia, is a strong advocate for this congenital condition. Stanley visited the Arabella and Rodgrigo after surgery.
